Gourmet products and local flavours in La Quisquilla

Before returning to the working tables to finalise the conclusions of Terrae 2024, participants enjoyed an informal meal with themed stations at the bucolic restaurant La Quisquilla.

The host cuisine offered some of its staples such as prawn salad, its tasty black pork rice and Iberian pork ribs in Josper with barbecue sauce and honey mustard sauce. Meat was also provided by Montesano Extremadura, who delighted the crowd with their delicious 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, and local distributor La Pata Gourmet by Kiko, who demonstrated the true top quality of the product to which they are dedicated.

Makro was in charge of fish, with a stand full of memorable preserves such as Cantabrian Sea Anchovies in Olive Oil, Boquerón del Cantábrico in Olive Oil, Gilda Zubelu Anchovy and Gilda Zubelu Anchovy, with the famous La Madrileña chips as the best companion. For its part, Aquanaria, a pioneer in Spanish marine aquaculture, took care of the raw fish, with an Aquanaria sea bass nigiri with lime and Aquanaria sea bass ceviche.

Helamore, the artisan ice cream parlour from Las Palmas, provided the sweet touches, alternating classic flavours such as strawberry, chocolate or mango with more original ones such as Merienda Canaria or Tirma Ambrosia, the popular cream-filled chocolate wafers so well known in the Canary Islands. Victoria beers and white, red and rosé wines from the Caldera winery filled glasses throughout the event.
